  3. Discovering the location

Through these visits, you will be able to discover the castle, rebuilt in the 15th century on the foundations of an old medieval stronghold, then transformed in the 16th century into a manor house. The castle has conserved a square dungeon surmounted by machicolations, an interior courtyard with Renaissance wooden galleries, and a rampart walkway. On the first floor of the tower is the chapel decorated with exquisite sculpted wooden panels. The southeast tower houses the dungeons, while the main house opens onto the kitchens and their monumental fireplace adorned by the Lords of the Magdeleine coat of arms.
The castle's park is adorned with hundred-year-old trees and a large central lawn, offering a breathtaking view of the castle and its vineyard.

Built in the 17th century, the castle's cellar has an impressive wood structure and imposing freestone walls. Formerly used as a vat room where large 235 hl oak casks were stored, today it is a reception venue for weddings, seminars, and gala dinners.

During your visit, ask for your Beaujolais Châteaux road book and discover the other wine estates in the association. You will get exclusive offers upon your second visit.

Do not forget to have it stamped at each Château you visit.
