You will find “Les Cassagnes de La Nerthe” in the heart of the secluded massif d’Uchaux. Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre make up most of the red vines. The berries explode with flavor and freshness when they’re opened. And the garrigue is never very far away. This Côtes-du-Rhône Villages has a true identity.
Beautiful garnet-red color. The nose is generous, offering fruity notes of red berries accompanied by spicy nuances brought by the Grenache. On the palate, red fruits reappear, especially ripe cherry, along with hints of menthol and pepper. The overall impression is lively, charming, and harmonious.
The finish shows lovely roundness and balance, with no dryness or harsh edges, thanks to smooth, mouthwatering tannins. What a pleasure it is to taste this 2023 vintage!
