Château Le Bourdieu Vertheuil 2016
Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois
The Bourdieu Vertheuil is one of the oldest wine-growing locations as an abbey was built there in the XI century, and the monks cleared the land to plant vines. Since that time, the same vineyard has produced one wine, which, in 1936, became Cru Bourgeois. A wine of character created by the signature blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, and petit verdot. To be enjoyed with flavorful and tender meats!
A beautiful dark purple color with purplish reflections, this wine opens with a bouquet of violet, cherry, and pepper. Full-bodied and round, this wine has a beautifully frank but smooth tannic structure. The tasting ends with a long finish marked by blackberry and toasted notes.
