Château Le Bourdieu Vertheuil
Château Le Bourdieu Vertheuil
Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois
The Bourdieu Vertheuil is one of the oldest wine-growing locations as an abbey was built there in the XI century, and the monks cleared the land to plant vines. Since that time, the same vineyard has produced one wine, which, in 1936, became Cru Bourgeois. A wine of character created by the signature blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, and petit verdot. To be enjoyed with flavorful and tender meats!
Our wine pairs beautifully with grilled beef tenderloin served with caramelised shallots, slow-roasted leg of lamb, or braised pork cheeks seasoned with sweet spices. It also complements a creamy polenta gratin with wild mushrooms or an autumn vegetable tagine infused with cumin, creating a warm and refined vegetarian pairing.
