The “Les Clavelles” wine is named after a plot of pure grenache on the western slope of the famous Crau plateau. It all began by simply observing the equilibrium of the location, tasting its grapes, and observing the abundance of this corner of the vineyard. The grenache finds balance here, forgetting its strong character to reveal delicacy and finesse while asserting its full-bodied southern character. “Les Cavelles” should be savored alone to appreciate its entirety.
Very graceful but complex nose, almost ‘oriental’ (sandalwood, cedar, cinnamon, potpourri) with aromas of cocoa and almond. On the palate, it's delicious: fruity tones of morello cherry, blood orange enveloped by pastry & smoothy flavors. Powdery tannins, well-coated fruity & savory mouth on with sweet spices. Long and refined finish.
