Georgie Hindle : Ripe and concentrated blackcurrant and touches of vanilla and exotic spice are given bounce by chewy tannins that present a wide and full mouthfeel. It's relatively intense in terms of flavours but it has a smooth texture and keeps a focussed core with a long finish. Clearly sun-kissed fruit, leaning into the vintage, but cool mint and some spicy liquorice provide nice counters and give some freshness. A blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Malbec, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Aromas of hot stones, mussel shells, cassis and graphite. Slightly saucy, too. Medium- to full-bodied with chewy tannins and a tight-grained finish. Needs at least one more year to soften. Drink from 2026.

Slightly herbal on the nose, some savoury tones, vanilla and plum, a touch shy at this point - hints of dried flowers and black fruit. Rich, concentrated, round and full in the mouth - a generous weight but so well balanced, a touch fleshy and chewy, more so than the 2019, this had an added layer of fat and plush texture but still with the same kind of minty, salty, liquorice, stone and cola flavour with cool blue fruit. I prefer the slightly more finessed version in 2019, but this is sure to have fans too, it may just need a bit longer. Feels elegant, tannins are well placed and this has persistence. It shows the heat of the vintage slightly with peppercorn, cedar, clove and chocolate touches. A touch more restricted than the 2019 though in terms of ease, it's holding back some of the expression at this point, but there's power and poise and more will be revealed in time. Again, lovely clarity and purity to the fruit expression.

Bien en fruit, avec une note de griotte et de cassis, ce vin séduit d'emblée. La bouche bien équilibrée, ronde et veloutée, portée par des tanins fondus, fait de même. Avec du fruit et de la consistance, ce vin harmonieux, bien élevé, est un bon ambassadeur du cru.

Rouge, reflets pourpres, fruits rouges(framboise, fraise des bois), cassis et torréfaction, une attaque ample sur les fruits noirs avec un bel équilibre, tanins fondus avec une belle longueur en bouche.

Voilà un joli rouge de fond, équilibré, au fruit sincère et bien mis en valeur par un élevage ajusté en barriques. Sa fraîcheur, ses notes fumées, ses tanins arrondis forment un ensemble convaincant, à boire ou laisser vieillir.

Ce 2019 issu des merlot (85 %), cabernet-sauvignon (10 %) et malbec dévoile un nez subtil de petits fruits rouges cuits (fraise, framboise, groseille) accompagnés d'une touche de prune et d'épices douces. Pleinement en accord, la bouche se révèle ample, fruitée et juteuse, portée par des tanins solides et un boisé très fin. Un vin équilibré et élégant.

Le nez est fruité et offre de la gourmandise. On y retrouve des notes de fraise juteuse, de petites baies rouges et plus légèrement de lys associées à une touche de prune violette acidulée, de framboise fraiche/juteuse ainsi qu’à de discrètes pointes d’épices douces et à une imperceptible pointe de cannelle. La bouche est fruitée, racé et offre de la minéralité, de la fraicheur et de la structure. En bouche ce vin exprime des notes de fraise charnue/juteuse, de framboise charnue et plus légèrement de mûre acidulée associées à de petites touches de toasté, de chocolat, de petites baies écrasées ainsi qu’à de discrètes pointes de noisette toastée et d’épices douces.

Nice concentration on the nose, smells heady and rich; full of ripe, cherry, strawberry and blackberry fruit alongside touches of chocolate, vanilla and liquorice. Smells lively and expressive with hints of cola and blueberries too. Smooth and succulent, lots of energy and vitality here, great acidity gives this bite and tang straight away. A touch austere but in a good way, flint and graphite minerality underpinned by a tight texture that gives some leanniness but also showcases a lovely clarity of fruit. Feels well worked, balanced and not pushed. Enjoyable and nuanced. Juicy and just slightly fleshy and chewy which is nice, but still with finesse and polish. Layered, nuanced and really enjoyable with lashings of dark chocolate, vanilla, clove and cedar on the finish with a salty lingering note. Finessed and approachable.

The wine, with 80% Merlot in the blend, has dense black fruits and ripe tannins. It is full and concentrated, with a young vibrant juiciness that will soften. The wine is rich and will be ready from 2024. Suitable for vegans. Organic. — Roger Voss

Thanks to the valance of creaminess and sea shell character , plus the well integrated touch of oak and sliced pear fruit you could easily mistake this for a good Bourgogne Blanc. Very goog harmony at the long silky finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.

The 2022 Beaujolais offers vibrant grapefruit and peach skin notes on the nose. Simple ? Maybe, but effective. The palate is fresh on the entry. There's lovely texture here, with notes on dried pineapple, nectarine and a dash of spice on the finish. Lovely. 

The 2023 Beaujolais Blanc, taken from tank, has a light nose with orchard fruit,the prudent use of oak just lending a bit of weight. The palate also has decent weight - a little honeyed in texture - fine acidity and a touch of passion fruit on the finish that nods toward the Southern Rhône.

The 2023 Beaujolais Le Perréon has a touch of varnish on the nose that masks the red fruit underneath. The palate is sweet on the entry with gentle grip. It's quite fresh and much more composed on the finish compared to the aromatics.

The 2022 Beaujolais Le Perréon comes from a single plot. This has a delightful nose, very pure and well defined : red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit. The palate is medium bodied with slightly grainy tannins and dark berry fruit laced with a touch of brine on the finish. I prefer the aromatics to the palate at the moment.

The 2021 Brouilly Les Roches has a light, slightly green nose that indicates a bit of underripe fruit - expected given the growing season. The palate is better with piquant red fruit and decent weight, though I find this a bit too saccharine on the finish

Give it a year in bottle.

A youthful Fleurie with a striking interplay of ripe fruit and balsamic character. Quite a tense balance of crisp acidity plus a touch of blood orange aroma, with moderately dry tannins that will need some bottle age to harmonize. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.

The 2022 Fleurie Poncié has a pretty nose, opening nicely in the glass with raspberry, strawberry and pressed rose ptals. The palate is medium bodied with a sapid entry, fresh with an underlying marine influence at play. Cohesive, this Fleurie sashays along nicely toward a finish that begs another sip.

A lively, red-fruited Fleurie, showing spiced cherries, licorice and hints of chocolate orange. Firm and tense, it has medium body with chalky tannins. It’s structured but needs a bit more concentration and length. Appealing now but better in 2026.

The 2023 Fleurie Poncié takes time to open on the nose. It's a little herbaceous but has pretty dark berry and cold tea scents behind that. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy tannins. This is quite marine-influenced with an overly saline, classically styled finish. The 2023 is not for those seeking bags of fruit, but it is well made.

There is a charming juiciness to its ripe cherries and currants, as well as spices and flowers, yet the palate feels a bit thin and fluid with medium body and modest length. Drink now.

The 2023 Morgon Château de Corcelles has a simple nose with touches of brambly red fruit and brown spice. It does not have the vigor of the previous vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins but misses a bit of fluidity and depth on the finish. Drink this over the next three or four years.

The 2022 Morgon definitely has one of the superior aromatic profiles from Château de Corcelles, well-defined with crisp black cherry and bilberry fruit. The palate is medium bodied with pliant tannins, good fruit concentration and just the right amount of quote bite toward the finish. This is a finely made Morgon note spectacular but you will contentedly polish off your glass.

Vivid spring blossom, yellow apple, cedar, ripe pear and lemon flesh present the 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc. Medium- to full-bodied and kept in check by bright acidity, the 2022 is a sapid and expressive white Châteauneuf that con be enjoyed over the next four years.

A blend of 43% Roussanne, 30% Clairette, 25% Grenache Blanc and 2% Bourboulenc, La Nerthe's 2022 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is a large-scaled, bombastic effort, with smoky-toasty accents to the bold pineapple and tangerine fruit. Some may consider it over the top, but it delivers ample flavor and richness—just don't expect it to age for more than a few years.

Marzipan and almond nose. Real opulence and weight on the palate, yet underneath there is a zip and liveliness that is then supported by the toasty-oak char on the finish. All balanced – a complete, rounded wine. (AC)

I loved the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc, an absolute banging white that has ripe citrus and honeyed, spicy nuances in its medium-bodied, wonderfully pure, focused profile. A blend of 44% Roussanne, 41% Grenache Blanc, 11% Clairette, and 4% Bourboulenc, it shows the softer style of the vintage and brings plenty of fruit while staying balanced, focused, and light on its feet. It’s a brilliant wine, and I suspect it will age gracefully over the coming decade or more.

Paré d'une robe d'un doré intense, s'annonçant sur un nez riche et opulent où le coing affleure, ce vin est doté d'un bel équilibre entre le gras et la délicatesse de sa texture, avec un élevage bien intégré. This powerful, full-bodied white Chateauneuf shows a wide spectrum of stone fruit, citrus and wild herb aromas. I love the balance of restrained creaminess from maturation on the lees with the elegant structure and animating freshness, the latter accentuate by a touch of bitterness in the long, quite firm finish. La Nerthe's 2021 Chateauneuf du Pape offers up subdued hints of leather, black cherries and plum on the nose. A blend of 39% Grenache, 33% Mourvèdre and 25% Syrah, with a few percentages of other permitted varieties, it's full-bodied and powerful but not overly concentrated, with a velvety feel on the dark chocolate-tinged finish. I'd opt for drinking it on the young side

Vinified from certified organic grapes, the 2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a little reductive at this showing. Time in the glass brings out ripe red fruits mingling with licorice and leafy undertones. Smooth tannins gently frame the medium- to full-bodied 2021, culminating in a bright and fruit­driven finish.

A focused expression, this wine delivers pure red and black fruits unfolding against a delicate rose-petal backdrop. Silky yet chewy tannins gradually reveal layers of red cherry, pomegranate, spice, violets, and a hint of clove. Its elegance is underscored by fine tannins, suggesting a wine that, while quiet now, holds the promise of revealing its full beauty with time in the bottle. Blending 56% Roussanne with 44% Grenache Blanc from certified organic grapes, the 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Clos de Beauvenir delivers. Swirling the glass unlocks fragrant pineapple, spring blossom, white peach and lemon flesh notes. Concentrated and round, this is a serious Blanc Clos de Beauvenir with the potential to gain more nuance after a few years in bottle. That said, it's already drinking splendidly.

The new wood has been pared back in the 2022 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Clos de Beauvenir, a 70-30 blend of Roussanne and Grenache Blanc aged predominantly in demi-muids, with 15% going into new barriques. Hints of oaky spice accent pineapple and lime notes on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is rich and silky in texture, even a trifle phenolic on the finish in its youth. This should be even better in another year or two.

The 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Clos De Beauvenir Blanc (52% Roussanne and 48% Grenache Blanc) is along the same lines, if not a touch more focused and precise. Honeyed pears, white flowers, spice, and crushed stone-like minerality all define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied, has a concentrated, layered mouthfeel, and a gorgeous finish. You can safely put this up with the crème de la crème of the vintage, and it should evolve gracefully over the coming decade if well stored.

The 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée des Cadettes (40% Grenache, 40% Mourvèdre, and 20% Syrah aged in 25% new barrels) is cut from the same cloth yet shows a slightly more modern style in its black raspberry, wild strawberry, spicy wood, peppery garrigue, and floral aromatics and flavors. It's medium-bodied, nicely balanced, has building yet ripe, polished tannins, and a great finish. It handles its oak beautifully, and this will have two decades of overall longevity.

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is gourmand, fruity, slightly jammy.
